A perfect example

I've mentioned before that I enjoy vintage cards, but given my budget, I generally settle for the throwback sets and homage sets. Heritage, Archives, Masterpieces, these sets are excellent to me and I generally enjoy. Today we get some of these, and a perfect example of what they shouldn't be.

Highlights:

As much as I appreciate the sets, I don't understand the need to throw the ugly Rookie Card logo on the card for Stewart. These were in no way part of the original set. I can appreciate wanting to make something similar to what Topps is doing in 2007 on their sets, but I would have hoped they could go for a retro looking "RC" designation to at least go along with the overall look of the card.

Traders:

Too many 2007-08 Upper Deck hockey here, and many that we have seen multiple of already unfortunately. Happier to see the 2008-09 Fller basketball for being a bit different - and for the uniqueness compared to the repetitive 2007-08 Upper Deck hockey.
