Through 6000 and beyond...well, to 6000 atleast...

We keep plugging and plugging away with the Santa Lot - I can't believe it's been over a year, and here we stand at 6,000 cards. I have a feeling we may just get to the end of this year with it. My guess is instead of 15,000 cards it'll end up more around 12,000, but I could be wrong.

So, what was card number 6,000? Happens to be the highlight today which is just by chance, but kind of fitting...

Highlight:

Another add to the 1991-92 O Pee Chee Shares and Russian inserts. I'm glad these keep coming, and keep coming in a nice, clear condition. Makes me happy to get these in great condition.

Keepers:

What these lack in quantity, these make up for in awesomeness. Doerr was one of the best Red Sox 2nd basemen ever and Wayne Cashman was a Bruin for life - so lots of Boston connection with these. I can live with it, since both were needs for these sets.

Traders:

Not sure I noticed this before but, is it appropriate that Adam Foote has his foot up and centre in this photo? Given the bulk of the other shots being "player alone skating on the ice", it is a nice change in photo at the very least.

  1. Interesting connection: Bobby Doerr was on the Jays coaching staff in 1977

  2. PC idea: Cards featuring players doing a leg stretch on the boards.
