Some more golden cards!

I was able to catch the highlights yesterday regarding the Home Run Derby - and all I can say is Judge must be having a fun year. Just an amazing breakout rookie season, and the Derby Crown is nice too I am sure.

Highlights:

Obviously a double, but otherwise these were all new to me. The way this is going, might just complete this insert set! Also nice to get one of the Lucky 13 rookie cards as well.

Traders:

A bit disappointed that the 2005 SP Legendary Cuts is a dupe - been a long while since having seen some of them, and haing a Stan already makes this a duplicate if anyone is interested.

Also unfortunate that I am only missing a couple 2007-08 Upper Deck series 2 cards, and just can't seem to be able to get them.

Maybe tomorrow...

  1. Do you know why the Luke Jackson card has "Lucky 13" stamped on it?

  2. The Lucky 13 cards are for picks made by teams that did not make the playoffs the year before. It's considered prestigious to be taken by a lottery team in the draft. In theory it means you are one of the best players available in the draft. In reality, not so much, Jackson never really panned out.
The base version of the Lucky 13 cards were SN500 but the Gold Medallion parallels were not numbered at all...but they were short printed. That's a good find, even with being Luke Jackson.

    1. And that answer is why you would be my go to guy for anything Basketball (or Racing for that matter - though that subject doesn't come up nearly as much).
