Choices Continue

A little bit more sprinkling of baseball Collector's Choice cards from the mid-90s including a new Jay...

In 1995, Juan had a very rough year with a 4-14 record and ERA over 6 - a far cry from his World Series years with the Jays. He was able to turn it around the next couple years luckily.

Interesting note about this card - the comment on the back "Guzman now ranks third on the Blue Jays' all-time list behind only Dave Stieb, Jim Clancy, and Jimmy Key." Not sure about you, but I think that makes him 4th all-time...

Wasn't the only Collector's Choice card...

Didn't know there were a handful of cards as a subset with some old time players like Christy here - may be enough reason to collect the base set as a whole.

As you can see, actually two different sets with cards from both 1996 and 1997. A decent enough design, that the year over year change was pretty minimal. I have no problem with that as I think the design works pretty well, so why not use it for a couple years.

We end with another bunch of 1996 Fleer football cards.

I like the ending subset of ProFootball weekly, as these tend to highlight the bigger stars - and Jim Kelly apparently. Man, I wish the guy could have closed out at least one Super Bowl.
