You Are On The List!

New lots are good for this - getting enough of a new to me set that I add it to the list of slow build sets....and here we have 2024 Topps Chrome...

No surprise that with similar reasoning as the flagship set, I think there will be enough in the lot to take a run at this 300 card base set, and this is the first chunk of cards t go through and make a bit of a dent. The design of course is very similar to the flagship set....just chrome-ier. At least we are getting some solid cards right off the bat with Albies, Altuve and Gurriel Jr. for quick example.

I think I need to wipe my scanner off....lol...as it looks like a lot of marks here on the cards, but not in hand, though the Chrome cards do tend to pick up little flecks with static. Long story short - the cards are fine, I just need to apparently do some wiping of cards and scanner bed given how some of them look in the scans.

I will say, the best part of the bunch is what follows below...

There aren't a lot of Joey Votto Jays cards given how that situation all worked out, but I did have one of these cards, and now three, which is really cool. Turner is a new addition, and will need another doing the set build, but big thumbs up for the Jays additions to go along with the start of a new set build.

  1. Definitely a nice starter set, just enough to get you hooked.

  2. I like that Votto. Nice to see full career stats on the back of his sunset card.
