I mentioned characters which could be easy to connect to, either as a good guy or a bad guy. Well, today we can touch on the not so easy to connect to...
No - not talking about Riddle...who thankfully got his first name back between the 2021 printing of the card and now, but about Bray Wyatt.
I find all of the Bray Wyatt stuff to be like the TV show Lost - as long as you don't try to think too hard about it and connect the dots with logic and reason, it can be very entertaining. When you do try to piece it together, it becomes non-sensical, kind of silly, and falls apart. Bray is a character that pushes against the norm of wrestling with the character, match types, etc. You likely will either appreciate it and like what he does, or the opposite.
Personally, I don't see the harm having a character or two that are outside the expected wrestling "norm" who have "Mountain Dew Pitch Black" matches at Royal Rumble or the like. There is enough of the "usual" stuff elsewhere when watching, so it may appeal to new fans, or new parts of existing fans.
Two more packs to go and it would be nice to get more than just one base addition in eash, like the Riddle was here.
