When we talk about this set, there are a couple of cards that are of "value". One of them would be just down below.
No, not Lou, although getting back to back packs with Leaf cards is a great start.
Jaromir Jagr. What can you say about the workhorse? He was a strong second on the Pens to Super Mario. Jagr was amazing for a long stretch - something Super Mario wasn't even able to do. Was one of my favourites growing up and watching as a kid and the fact he played for such a long time was just amazing. Not sure there will be another career that stays so productive for so long.

Nice. Always cool to pull a rookie card of a legend.
ReplyDeleteWhat......Joe ya kidding me its not Jon Morris lol or the reason why they changed the rules for the Calder Trophy winner Sergei Makarov(he'll remain the oldest player to win it) I swear the Czech was in the pack not in mail. Jagr I know is enshrined already in Toronto but Pittsburgh took forever to retire 68 & when played for a bunch of teams late in his career I was hoping he would joined the Wing-Wheels for a chance to hoist Stanley 1 more time but never did 😕
ReplyDeleteEight teams after Pittspurgh - about a quarter of the league he ended up spending time with, though rightfully most will remember him a Pen. It can be easily forgotten all those moves by Jagr.
