If there is one team that, at a glance, I fall for thinking I have pulled a Leaf card, it's Tampa Bay. I mean, the white and blue uniforms, it makes sense, and I did it here...
I mean, you obviously then look at the logo and know it's Tampa, but just a glance and 'd believe it was Toronto. Of course the players give it away as well, but just flipping through cards, it definitely gives a "yay....oh....bah...." response from me. Funny getting another Carey Price card here, the base, since we just saw him on an insert the other day.
Cole is a fantastic rookie to pull - man is into an 8 year contract with Montreal and is a winger for the team. I think he has a shot to get a couple seasons of a point per game ratio going, he's getting close.
Shane's another solid rookie, here with the silver border. A centre with the Sens, a nice pick up here.
Getting a little more of a warm vibe out of the base design the more I see it. Another pack tomorrow.
I've done that looking at just the uniform colors or a quick glance at the team logo. In baseball I can't count the number of times I've mistaken a player in a cap with a "C" on it for the Reds when it was the Cleveland team Indians now Guardians, or seeing the old NY Giants baseball team thinking it was the Mets. Similar but not exact. Makes sorting cards by team a nightmare when you mistake one team for another.
