Today we get to packs 5 and 6 of 2021-22 Upper Deck MVP and see if we strike any Leaf cards....spoiler....still not yet.
Sweet triple goalie pack here. MVP cards are generally a little less show for action shots, but goalies always standout as something more given the intimidating look and presence with the extra equipment. I'd take Rask out of the three.
First 20th Anniversary retro insert with MacKinnon - scary that I look at that design and feel it's new given I grew up on sets from the early 90s, and here we are referring to it as 20 years old on a set released a handful of years ago. I am aging too quickly.
Solid high number short print pick up with the slightly nicer blue border on Mark. Glad they didn't go with the silver script look for the base set itself - just too washed out of a design, though always funny when the insert leads to a double showing of a card like Hintz here.
12 base set additions from this one - let's keep that up and this base set will be done in no time!
