Today we open an older Dollarama hockey surprise bag. After they were in hanging boxes, they were in these bags. This was before the bags went up in price and before those bags then became more scarce to find.
The blue is before the orange bags, when the design from the cardboard boxes looked like they were just put into bag form, then a bit more action like with this design.
As for the contents...
Believe it or not, the unopened pack is a win here as I do keep all variations and here, first combo of what I am sure is Hextall as goalie and the checklist offer - sweet! The Canadian team pack could beat that though if it happens to be Toronto...
Well, not Toronto, and not sure why we needed three cover pieces, but we got them.
The 2009-10 card is the only possible keeper, but I already have it for the set build.
Well, going to say Joe Sakic is the Hall of Famer in this pack, but it's not a great card to get given there are roughly one million of them in circulation.
Cam gets to be the only keeper in the bunch today as a set build helper....and that's it!
The unopened pack really helps this one as there rest was almost all trade bait. Oh, and if you wonder on my scoring as I may not have posted it in a bit...
This has worked for me in past years to a "feels right" position for the openings, and so far so good this year too.

Seeing that Hextall pack inspired me to look up the different 1990-91 Score hockey packs, because I don't remember seeing that one (and I opened a bunch of this product back in the 90's). I found four varieties in Google Images, but really only recognize the one with Roy on it. My memory isn't what it used to be :D
ReplyDeleteRoy is the one I remember most as well - may be due to my distaste for the player.
