I have done a number of trades with fellow TCDB member and Canadian, JFCaouette, and this one sent me some baseball helpers.
A few Jays of course, including a couple of the variations from 2020 Topps Opening Day with the very Canadian borders that are a cool little touch, definitely very nice.
The bulk were helpers for my 2021 Topps set build which of course meant getting a bunch of rookie cards since that was the bulk of what had been pulled and missing from the lot I bought.
The bunch does get me to about 90% done the big 660 card set, so very cool and awesome on that front. I do wonder if I have some of those remaining cards hidden in the cards I still have backlogged to search through, share, and log into my collection, but if I get them through trade first - that works for me just fine!
I bought a collection that had the 2021 Topps set with about 20 to 30 cards missing. I ended up picking them up on Sportlots. Kinda hurt spending 20¢ for commons, but I got tired of the set taking up space on my desk.
ReplyDeleteIf I ever feel like I have caught up on opening and logging cards I have here, but not "in" the collection, I might do this for a few sets. I'd just be annoyed with myself if I bought cards I have but don't realize it....even if just pennies a card.
