Two In One

Well, this pack of Final Fantasy Magic cards gives me two more artifacts for my collection...

We get another Chocobo appearance with the Call the Mountain Chocobo card, and another World Map to go with the single I picked up. I can make some chuckling remarks about the Commune with Beavers card, but I will try to refrain.

The Odin rare is a solid one, while the foil spot providing a second artifact card for the collection, is amazing.

We also get the first art card from a pack, this one showing Zidane. Apparently there are 53 different art cards, and those alone I can see being a nice collectible for Final Fantasy fans. I do wonder how many non-Magic FF fans are picking up some of the cards out of interest in FF.

  1. Just curious... are the art cards a TCG version of an insert? I bought a box of cards at the flea market and there were a few hundred MTG cards and a handful of these art cards. Just curious as to what they were.

    1. They are "inserts" in so much as there is one per pack, and they are something different to collect, but the do not have any intrinsic use or value to the game itself. They are relatively new - guess they have been around a couple years now. They may be collected because they look nice, and there are usually "autographed" - stamped not actual - copies you can find which are "signed" by the artist. I don't think any have every really held any value, just an interesting "add on".
