The BASEball lot today provides a decent sampling of 2020 Topps Gypsy Queen. I always look at Gypsy Queen and Allen & Ginter in being similar products as I consider their look and feel to be in the same ballpark - so to speak. That said, I do find the simplicity and look of A&G much more appealing compared to Gypsy Queen, so I personally have a clear preference - but curious what others think about the two sets in comparison/contrast to each other, and your own likes/dislikes for them.
They both suffer from the same issue of lack of stats, but as I have said before, I can accept it is done for purpose of the look and feel of the cards, so I get it. Not a huge fan of the "aged" look put into the card design with the uneven browning of the cards, or at least going for that look. I'd rather it be a little more clean and crisp, like A&G.
Still - a good opportunity to rehome cards if anyone wants a good start on this set - ended up with close to half the pure base set on this one...

I suppose I'm more inclined toward GQ, partly because I do like the busier designs, but more because I prefer a short write-up to those ridiculous written-out stats and because I don't really need cards of YouTubers, sitcom bit players, and random objects (although there are some of the non-baseball subjects I really like).
