2020 Topps NBCD

The National Baseball Card Day is a great promotion and the sets have been decent over the years. Now, getting a BASEball card lot like this, I wouldn't necessarily expect to get almost a complete set, or the fact most cards have 10+ copies - or that the promotional cards count in the 20-50 range each, but here we are!

I assume that from a player collecting standpoint, that is the reason I have 29 or the 30 cards to this set. The only one missing is Luis Robert of the White Sox, but everyone else is here. The set itself is nice enough looking with the design, and of course Ohtani leads the set.

Definitely can help fill gaps for people, or if anyone wants a good start on the set, let me know.

There were not as many Vladdy cards as there were for most, but not a total surprise there. I was surprised by the vast number of Alonso and Trout cards. One of the reasons I do go for these lots, is the fun surprise of these types of sets - or close to complete - sets. Never would have collected this one otherwise.

  1. A. Kinda surprised Tatis didn't make the checklist. There was a lot of hype around him in 2019 and 2020.

    B. I'm even more surprised (but happy) that eight of these guys are still with their teams after five years: Acuna, Yelich, Judge, Harper, Machado, Guererro, Alonso, and Trout.
