So, for the first time in a long time, I was at Value Village which is a 5 minute walk from my home, and they had a bunch of cards in baggies. So, I took a look and with my 20% coupon and seeing a bunch were Tim Horton's hockey cards which I could use or easily find homes for, I picked up $50 worth of baggies which should hopefully do some help to knocking down some needs for a few sets.
I have gone through and sorted the cards and will share by set (give or take), so where I was, and how much they helped to see if it was worth the $50.
First up is the 2015-16 set. Before getting the cards, I had only 19 of 100 base cards, and I will say, these are a bit banged up in places. Good enough for me and my collecting, but not as nice quality as most of the rest of the cards - a problem which can happen when they put the cards in plastic baggies and the cards can get corners bumped easily.
Here is what we have...
For the base set, I'm up to 59 of 100 cards now. A vast improvement. There were also a couple inserts...
I had 2 of the 7 before, and the two non-Leaf ones were needs, and happy to take another Leaf one as well, so all keepers here.
I'd say that's a solid start with this set now bumped up to being more respectably completed.
