A small bunch of 1993-94 Leaf cards from the COVID lot today, with a nice number of keepers, as shown below.
Don't you love when little printing errors like this happen? I mean, it's pretty obvious a sheet was put in the wrong direction, so instead of being printed in the bottom right corner, where they are supposed to show up, the foil team logo is printed in the top left. Not only that, it happens to be almost right on top of the card number. Now, back in 1993-94 when you would have opened the card in a pack, this would mean having to search for a checklist to find out what card number it was supposed to be, of finding someone who had the card. Luckily today, it takes a quick "find" on the TCDB checklist.
Amazing to think how much we rely on some of these now simple things, to what we use to have to do.
Lol, a reverse Flames logo on top of the card number is a neat one! I've got a couple without the logo on the back and one that has a tiny crescent moon-shaped logo- but nothing that interesting!
ReplyDeleteI gather it means there are at least a sheet worth that were fed in the wrong way and ended up out "in the wild".
DeleteVery cool. I love error cards like these. By the way... I love this set's card backs with the city landmark photos.
ReplyDeleteHaving them in a page in a binder, they look really cool all side by side too.
