Who's the Bossy

Hard to strike a balance between stars of today and stars of yesteryear in a set. More and more sets these days try to find this balance. I gather the desire is to throw in more names people know and to draw on the history (and fans of that history) to broaden the appeal. I get it, and some do better than others.

I don't mind the base subset option which is what we have today.

Highlight:

2008-09 O Pee Chee used this Legends subset at the end of the base set to pay homage and draw some names of the past. I would have liked it being a bit more different than the Marquee Rookie colour palette which was used for that subset, but otherwise, acceptable.

Bossy is a good choice too being the first 50 goals in 50 games person in 1980-81 since Maurice Richard did it in 1944-45.

Gilbert was the original (first drafted) Sabre, and being a dupe is a bit less important to me given the two cards.

Traders:

Nothing too desirable here, though the 20078-08 Topps continues to fill in a few holes in the base set - I'll need to count next time, but I think we are at 10 or less base cards needed for a complete set.
