Hooked on (Super)Sonics

Before getting to today's Santa Lot 20, I picked up another 16 baseball cards in a Listia win that I'll share here...

Highlights:

That foil Bowman card scans something fierce...but one I don't have so - excellent - same with the 1988 Topps Big Musselman.

The rest
Keepers:

Obviously neat to get the couple 1972 Topps cards including a Charlie Hough Rookie card, and a Cy Young winner Vida Blue. Other than the Mumphrey card having significant staining which you can see in the scan, good condition all around on these.

Traders:

Just the one duplicate luckily with this group to, so that's another plus as well.

Now onto the Santa Lot 20 which is heavy on basketball today...

Highlights:

Moving on the 2004-05 Legends Classics set (up to 38% now) is always a good thing! Also - who could deny the 'stache of Lanny McDonald!

The rest
Keeper:

Just the one - lots of trade bait coming up below...

The rest:

Seem to have gotten a couple runs of cards in MVP include a number of Nets, Knicks and Supersonics. Patrick Ewing brings me back to some of the match ups with Jordan from the 90s - which Jordan I would say, dominated.

Through 3260 cards:
Specific Accomplishments:
- Completed 2007-08 Upper Deck McDonald's Checklist Subset (6 cards)
Hockey Baseball Basketball Football Austin Powers Other
Toronto 68 5
Inserts / Var Kept 100 7
Error 11 1
Keep 851 96

  1. Go Sonics! I wonder how many of the team cards you're missing from this post. I'd say you're at least missing Shawn Kemp.

Hah, that Dale Ellis card is actually him in a Sonics uniform even though it says Magic.

    1. Yeah - always means a double take. It raises a good question to - do you collect it as a Magic card, Supersonic card, or up for either?
