Highlights:
In hand, I like the colours lettering for the names as it stands out well, unlike the scans, though the colour coding for the conference isn't really needed I guess. I miss those Raptor uniforms in a lot of ways - even if the purple was considered ugly by some - it was definitely different with the dino!
The rest
Keepers:
Not much here, but the Hot Prospect card provides a bit of promise...
Traders:
The best of the rest - another redemption card with another new logo...and Vigneault who has had a long coaching career now at the NHL level and a fairly successful one at that.

That was the first Fleer Flagship I ever completed. Considering Fleer was my favorite brand, that was a big deal to me. 1987-88, 88-89, 89-90, 90-91, 92-93, 93-94, 95-96, 00-01, 02-03, 03-04 have all joined it since. I just completed the 1987-88, 88-89 and 92-93 sets this year.
ReplyDeleteAwesome - curious though, was it first out of convenience (card availability) or love for the set and it being a bigger goal?
DeleteIt was two things, really...it was the first I opened a box of, and it was the smallest Fleer flagship set ever, other than 1961-62. Except for 1995-96 and the sets after this one, I completed the others one card at a time, ususally through mixed lots, no boxes.
