Generation Wow

So, over the weekend, we figured we needed some better storage for the board games in the basement for the kids. We ended up looking at Ikea and the open four box compartment things. You know what...here...easier for me to show than explain. As we were looking, I was able to weasel in picking up two more for my card storage and presentation. The size of the spaces are 13", which nicely fits binders lying down. In each spot, able to nicely sit a few binders piled and get nowhere near the 29 pounds per shelf weight limit. Also, for the bottom ones, a good space for card boxes as 800 count boxes basically fit the size. I am not one to push a product, but if you are looking for another card storage option which looks nice (and puts together easily - I put together four in about two hours which included time on and off entertaining the kids).

After busy season I will try and remember to take a few pictures and show them off.

Oh, and another quick PWE went out to bring my traded away count this year to 1,139...slowly going to my 5,000 goal for the year.

As for the Santa Lot, we have seen these before, and some more here. I am a number person (and most of these deal with something number.stat related) and like these inserts regardless of the set.

Highlights:

A number here from 2007-08 Topps, but I had to also throw in the Gold 1957-58 parallel (which is SN to 2007) as that is always a highlight regardless.

Keepers:

A Larry Walker sighting continues the baseball card trend out of the Santa Lot. Add in another O Pee Chee need for 2008-09, and I'll take those couple for sure.

Traders:

The usual suspects here - though Trent, sorry, too much staining, you won't be staying here...
