A great PWE trade with fellow Canadian, and a John Olerud fan, TCDB member olerud363 which is a nod to Olerud's 1993 season where he flirted with a .400 average well into August, though ended with a .363.
This trade finishes a few fantastic Jay team sets including 1989 O Pee Chee, and 1991 Fleer Update. Always appreciate a good team completion. It's a theme in this trade too.

Cory Snyder! Wow.. I just looked it up. I didn't realise how bad he was that year. .175 BA between two teams including .143 with the Jays

ReplyDeleteHadn't thought about Olerud's awesome season in a long time. I was curious about his numbers during the final two months of 1993 when he went from .400 on August 2nd to .363 on October 3rd. I would have though that his bat totally went cold.... but he actually still hit .290 during that stretch. It just kinda shows just how challenging the chase to .400 is.
ReplyDeleteIt's all relative. .290 as an average is solid, but put next to .400 for the rest of the season, and it looks like such a let down.
