Had Been Meaning To...

In 1994-96, Parkhurst came out with a very retro set which was the 1966-67 set - which was obviously a set for that year. The look was done to the period, but on much better cardstock than you would get back then. What we end up with is a set, I hadn't been collecting, but as soon as I had some of the cards, knew I'd be happy to add it to the list....which we are doing today.

A great design with my only complaint being the repetitive use of the faded background images. Otherwise, love the fronts, and getting all the Leaf cards - excellent. ALl in abhout 25 keepers today...

Given the year in question, of course you get a 150 card set that focuses on original six teams, so plenty of Leaf content to get along with the others.

Great stars, and with so few teams, you have some subsets to fill out the 150 cards including my favourite...

Really like the look of those award winner cards! There are some duplicates as well, so let's see some backs...

As I say, the card stock is the big difference. Being a miod-90s print, the cards are nice and solid, no frayed sides, soft corners, etc. Sure, it would be nice to have decent condition cards from the 60s, but I'll happily take a cheaper alternative with these.

A solid start...just hoping there is another bunch or two from this set in the rest of the COVID lot.
