Ultra Ice is pretty nice!

I recently read on another blog, Rekindling the Cardboard Flame of a win through no purchase necessary submission. I have always debated whether to bother doing this or not (entering at least) and didn't realize that Upper Deck had made the process priceless with online submission.

So, thanks for the heads up (and always enjoy the blog) and we shall see if anything comes of the 12 or so entries I did, but since the process was 5 minutes or less, no harm done regardless. I will just have to remember to go back in every few months to enter and new draws.

It has been a few pulls since getting a serial numbered card, so nice to see one - and hockey at that!

Highlight:

This is actually the first ice medallion parallel I have ever had. I had a few gold medallion cards before the Santa Lot, but no ice ones. These are serial numbered to 100 as you can see. As for the front, frankly it is more of a grey, but I get wanting to tie it in to hockey and call it ice. Whatever. A nice enough card overall, and more subtle than the glaring gold of the gold medallion parallels.

Keepers:

Geez - great star power here with Leetch, Chelios, Iginla...well...all of these really.Ugly uniform on Morrow though.

Traders:

Some more needs from 2004-05 Ultra including a few of the draft pick cards at the end of the set which all have a brown/tan tinge to the background around the player.
