2016 Topps Series 2 Baseball

So today, we start a blaster of, well, exactly what this is titled as.



That is the box, and I think in the first post of each box, just to ensure everyone knows my scoring, I will just repeat it so here...

Base card - 1 point (yes, all cards get a point)
Base card need - 2 points
Base variation card - 20 points
Base card Toronto card - 5 points
Base variation Toronto card - 50 points
Insert Card bonus - points based on odds - if 1 in 4 - worth 4 points, double if a Toronto card

As always, I pull packs for the unopened pack collection first. In this case, I already have one of these 10 card packs in the collection, so I just need to pull the commemorative medallion pack....

and put it aside.

Also, at this point, I have 31 of the 700 card full 2016 Topps base set - so should see too many dupes in this box, but without further ado, let's get this one started!

All needs for me here, and no Jays.The Escobar photo is awesome - love the different angle.



I would call this a very successful start in getting a one in eight insert that also happens to be a Jays card. The design doesn't do much for me, but very happy to pull it.



I really love this insert set. The design is really nice, the bronze foil is nice, and it just does everything nice on the front. The back is a simple enough write up and consistent design to the front. I need more insert sets like this in newer products.

I also have a PWE trade to share today - this one with TCDB member tjhorak. It was a trade about a bit of everything...



So let's see...a couple new Jays cards....a Stan Musial puzzle piece (three more cards to go), a variation Expo, an SI Kids Potvin...and we end with a random Flame.

Yeah - pretty varied and a bit all over the place, but I'll take any and all Toronto baseball and hockey cards.
