A quick bubble pack of three packs and a Blue Jays card....
Yeah - that's the back since the front is only the front of a pack.
Well, here are the packs anyway. One goes to the unopened pack collection while the Pillar Maple Leaf card is a nice add since they only come in these Canadian Walmart three pack blister packs.
Let's take a look at what we get in the other two packs.
Well - can you say anything bad about a pack that includes Babe Ruth? I mean, great to have say, David Price, and Joey Votto, and the rest, but - it's Babe Ruth. Even if it is a newer card, it's still awesome.
The great cards continue with the second pack since we have Syndergaard, Justin Smoak, and although it isn't the Jays mascot - I'll take a mascot insert any day of the week.
Well, this will be a good start to the 2019 set. I have a couple blasters aside that I picked up cheap in the US this past August, so I plan to build this set and add it to the list. At only 200 cards, I am hoping to get at least half way with the couple blasters, but we shall see next year.
I've never seen that maple leaf parallel until now. Pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteI still don't understand why they have the rights to show the mascot, but not the rights to give the mascot's name.
ReplyDeleteThe whole exclusive rights issue still bugs the heck out of me - competition in brands and products would only help the hobby.
DeleteI just commented on that Pillar on another blog about 30 minutes ago. Well... not the maple leaf parallel... but the base card. That maple leaf parallel makes the card that much sweeter.
