Today I start another box, a small box...
A championship repack box. Again, like I said before, at least they don't try to hide the Triple Play packs and tell you straight up. This one felt like a tight squeeze, very full box.
The best news out of this box is that the 2016 Opening Day pack is a new one for me. In some of these, I am starting to get a decent string of packages by year. For Opening Day, I now have 2012 - 2014 and 2016-2018...pesky 2015....
Opened, I could also tell, the reason for the tight fit was because the Stars and Stripes pack was thick - my guess will be that it has a dummy card in there to fool me into thinking I lucked out with some type of relic.
So we have four packs to open and another of those Beckett inserts, this one not bothering with a specific number, just that there are 2,000 out there.
Scoring again...
Base card - 1 point (yes, all cards get a point)
Base card need - 2 points
Base variation card - 20 points
Base card Toronto card - 5 points
Base variation Toronto card - 50 points
Insert Card bonus - points based on odds - if 1 in 4 - worth 4 points, double if a Toronto card
The insert Beckett card, since there are five packs to the box and you get one per box, we will call it 5 points.
|Let's bust through the ever exciting Triple Play to end today and start this box.
So in the 2013 Triple Play pack we have a bunch of dupes....yeah....all of them.
Well, at least the last one is a Blue Jay....
Not that you can tell since all you can do is stare into his soulless eyes....
Maybe if we go back a year, it'll be a bit better (since I have less of that base set complete anyway)....
Yeah - at least these are all needs. I still haven't completed one of the puzzles out of the base card subset for any of the players...not that it really concerns me at all.
A couple dupes, though, which happened to be the inserts...
Creepy smile David - creepy smile.
2 pack, 15 cards, 35 points
It's crazy that they actually advertise Triple Play packs on their package ;)
