Heavy Metal

 Well...these are ugly...

So this bugly set is 1995-96 Fleer Metal. Not much to say about it, but the rusty colouring of the fans, and harshness of the cards are not a great look in my opinion. Luckily they are not cards that will stay around with me long - basketball and all, but still...yikes.

This is a little more up my alley...

1997 Upper Deck baseball. A couple nice looking subsets, but not a set I am collecting at this point, and no Jays, still, a decent set...hope we get to see more.

Another bunch of 1999-2000 Upper Deck Swedish League cards which brings us up to somewhere around 150 cards of the 220 card set...may have to look at how much is left if I get another bunch.

We then end with...

1994-95 Collector's CHoice German version. I have to say, I didn't really like Charles as a player, but really enjoy him on the mic these days as he does have a great personality. Love the emotion of the pose at least.

  1. I love the Metal set! I'm pretty close to completing it. Not just the first year but all 5 years it was produced in the NBA. I've already completed 1996-97, 1998-99 and 1999-00.

    1. My dislike for the set is the scanning aspect. It's okay in hand - not one I love, but it is different.

  2. I opened a lot of mid 90's Metal... and enjoy that set. There were some pretty cool inserts sets from that product too.

  4. I was always fascinated with the Metal set. I think it started with Marvel cards and then all of a sudden it was being used with sports.
