Dollarama 80 - Solid Variety Edition

Yeah, I wonder if I am going to buy enough of these to finish off a few sets such as 1989 Topps Traded - though I gather I won't see the real stars in those sets anyway.

So, minimal Jays content again with this one with...
But nice to get the Hentgen as I sorely am missing cards in the 95-04 range when it comes to the Jays collection.

I don't have much '86 Donruss, but I am not a fan of the design, so beyond the Jays, not really looking for any, but got the couple here.

Love the Joe Carter pre-Jays cards and here we get into the 1989 Topps Traded as I alluded to earlier.

A couple sets most people may have if they wanted - 1990 Topps and 1991 Bowman. Me on the other hand, nope - still need many of these, though again, not actively collecting either...yet.

I feel a lot of the cards out of these are Topps, so nice to see some Pinnacle, Fleer, Upper Deck and more Bowman.

Team Leader of floating heads (meh - would have preferred actual smaller full photos) and decent team photos...

Interesting in seeing the design changes over time going through a pack like this. Could go for getting more Topps 206 series cards...same would be true of A&G and Gypsy Queen - definitely don't see enough of them.

I am not a big Bowman fan, but those Bowman Platinum look really good in hand, and even better in scanned form.

As for the dupes, I didn't bother scanning them, but in a nutshell, a dabbling of Topps sets from 1986 through 1991 (as well as 1991 Fleer....and 1991 Score....and 1991 Donruss...oh and two of the 2006 All Star Chase Utley cards, so one of those is a dupe too). Still, out of 80 cards, since I needed about 75% of them, I am not going to complain, would do that deal any day.

    1. I have kept an eye, and at least a couple of the ones I have gone to have replenished them, so hopefully they are around to stay. There are three within 10 minutes of where I work in downtown Toronto, and three in Burlington within a 5 minute drive - four of the six have had them and 3 of the four have put new stock out...not that I have been checking them all out and keeping track...
