Here we - finally - get to the 2020 Road To Wrestlemania box I got from my in-laws back in August at my birthday.
I opened one of these earlier this year, so I do have a good start on the base set, and already have unopened packs aside for that collect, so I will be able to open everything in this one!
I will score this box like any other, and the scoring is as follows...
Base Wrestling Card Need | 4 |
Base Variation / Short Print Card | Odds |
Insert Card | Odds |
Box Bonus Cards | Per Pack Odds |
Error Card | Double Score |
Since I didn't get to open the Relic pack on the last box, I'll start with that one here...
Let's take a look at the tribute cards first..
Honky Tonk Man was such a great heel - I hated him as a kid and appreciate how good he was at his job now. It was great seeing him lose the Intercontinental Title so quickly to Ultimate Warrior after holding on to it for so long, and reminding fans everyday. Can't believe that match was back in 1988.
He was one of those guys, for the longest time, never thought he'd accept the Hall of Fame nod, but glad his issues with WWE mellowed over time.
Last up, the hit...
Not too bad. It is the "base" version which is still SN to 199, and Naomi is a decent one to get, so I am happy with it.
Scoring after 1 very inflated pack...
1 Pack, 5 Cards, 146 Points
"Honky Tonk Man was such a great heel - I hated him as a kid and appreciate how good he was at his job now"... I couldn't agree more! I don't follow wrestling at all anymore, but a few months ago I watched a couple of old matches for nostalgia sake, two of which featured HTM. Looking back now, he was so damn talented in his prime, he was great in the ring, and was equally as awesome on the mic.
ReplyDeleteCool relic. Looks like Naomi and those vivid colors would match up perfectly with Asuka. They should be tag team partners.
