Finishing Strong

Always nice to be able to end a blaster on a high note.

Not as good as the Gold Lashley I pulled in the last box, the blue is SN to 99 as you can see. Actually, very nice to get the Lemieux/Gretzky combo here of 66/99.

Unlike the gold version which seems to just mesh in with the other brown/tan colours, the blue stands out in screaming fashion. Not going to miss this in a pack.

The last base cards for me, all new, which brings the base set to 81 cards out of the 100 base total. For two blasters, only getting a single base card dupe, can't ask for much more than that!

This is probably why collation worked for me on the base cards - it didn't work in my favour at all on the roster inserts. I believe I picked up 2 new ones and about 18 dupes over the course of this blaster. At least I should be able to turn some of those into cards I do collect (any takers?).

So last tally for this box is...

11 Packs, 75 Cards, 429 Points

1) 2019-20 Upper Deck Tim Hortons Packs 336.5648
2) 2019 Topps Chrome Value Pack 332.3750
3) 2019 Topps Opening Day Blaster 1 14.8750
4) 2020 Topps WWE Road To Wrestlemania Blaster 1 13.1587
5) 2018 Diamond Kings Baseball 6.0400
6) 2004-05 Pacific Hockey Hobby Box 5.9206
7) 2020 Topps WWE Road To Wrestlemania Blaster 2 5.7200
8) 2019 Topps WWE Women's Division Blaster 5.6825
9) 2017-18 Upper Deck CDN Exclusive Series 1 Box 5.5128
10) Dollarama 80 Card Assorted Hockey Pack 1 4.8375

Definitely a solid showing for this box, though the Lashley Gold parallel keeps this behind the first. As we stand about a month and a half away from the end of the year, I am probably just going to have one more large box from the Dave and Adam cards from 2019 that I will get through, and the little dollar store purchases likely won't push much into the list of tops here so, this may be about it for top boxes for the year...but I guess time will tell.

  1. One of my students dressed up as Roman Reigns for Halloween. It was pretty funny.
