Serial Sandbergs!

Okay - this one has nothing to do with the title. I picked up one of these copper parallel Tulos (2017 Topps Museum Collection) on Listia. Then I saw a second and figured, why not. I didn't have any before and they look pretty nice, so poof - now I have two!

I have talked about the fact, I am not specifically a player collector, but also can't hide my love for Ryne Sandberg, so today was an awesome day from the Santa Lot.

Highlights:

Did I mention they are from what is becoming one of my favourite sets? These are from two different insert sets, as seen, both serial numbered to 1999. The Classic Moments documents, obviously, the Sandberg game where he had two game tying homeruns and 7 RBIs. Side note - you can see this is actually also an error card as the game tying home run is in the "1_th" inning which should be 10th.

The second is from, as shown, the classic seasons insert set and Ryne's 1984 NL MVP season which included leading the league in runs and triples. His line that year in 156 games was a .314 batting average, 19 home runs to go with the 19 triples, 84 RBI, 32 SB, with a total of 200 hits.

The rest
Keepers:

Hard to tell, but the 2005-06 Upper Deck Black Diamond Paul Kariya is a three diamond card which is excellent.

Traders:

Inserts that bother me, include those that are obviously meant for jersey patches, autographs or similar, but have no such items. The Donruss Threads Generations card is a perfect example, as the space for autos is just there, and empty on these. Wish they would just extend the photos if nothing else to use up the space.

  1. Topps Museum cards typically look and feel great. It's nice to pick them up on the cheap considering they are an expensive product
