Yup - all 34 packs, one for keepers, and three a day to share your way.
I always enjoy the Timmies sets, and figure I best get this one out of the way before the next year set hits later this year, and to be honest, these posts in April are a bit easier which helps with all the business at work.
So, let's take a look at the scoring scheme as usual...
Base Card | 1 |
Base Sports Card Need | 3 |
Base Wrestling Card Need | 4 |
Base Variation / Short Print Card | Odds |
Base Toronto Card | 15 |
Base Toronto Variation / Short Print Card | 5 * Odds |
Insert Card | Odds |
Toronto Insert Card | 5 * Odds |
Box Bonus Cards | Per Pack Odds |
Error Card | Double Score |
and the first three packs...
Another solid design - somewhat Black Diamond-esque for the base cards, and here we have the 1 in 4 pack red die cut insert which looks pretty snazzy and reminds me of something out of 1997-98 Donruss...the Red Alert inserts.
Second pack gets another red die cut, and the rounded corners - not much of a "die cut", but wonder if that helps when you drop the card....though I don't plan on finding out.
We end with a Game Day Action insert which looks fairly similar to prior years, no surprise there, and with three packs, all in, no dupes which is a good start...even if I don't see any Leafs yet.
3 Packs, 9 Cards, 30 Points.
I was the fortunate recipient of the Keith Timmy. Gorgeous cards! There's a Tim Hortons a few miles from, my closest big coffee shop. Unfortunately, it's on the south side of the border. No cards.
ReplyDeleteRestaurant issue cards will always be cool in my book. How many cards are in the base set?
ReplyDeleteBase is 120 cards. I liked when they used 100 cards even for the base set, but guess they saw benefit for there being more cards for people to need/chase.
DeleteWow. At three cards per pack (and so far 2 base per pack) this is going to be quite a challenge to build. But dang... it's gonna be quite the accomplishment when you're finished.
DeleteIt's one of those types of sets...if I had a bit more focus. I usually get about half way, and run out of steam, but like the cards so keep them on my list of "eventually wanna complete" sets.
