There is one thing I miss most about the "junk wax" era - remember when a normal pack of cards may be 15 or more cards?
Nowadays, some products are 4-7 cards a pack, 10 if you are lucky, and that's ignoring the specialty products that are along the lines of 10 cards to a box. Heck some jumbo or hanger packs may have as little as 18 cards these days.
Well, today we get a "pack" of cards which is about 20, and from a set I haven't seen a lot of - 1999-2000 O Pee Chee.
The set just screams parallel to me instead of base set. Reminds me of a bronze colour parallel set.
The back design is pretty good - head shot different from the front, the unique playoff record info as well as regular season stats. A write up which is small in print and a bit hard to read with the blue background, but that's a small complaint - pretty good overall.
The 1999-00 Topps and O-Pee-Chee card backs are really nice. It's just a shame that the text on the OPC cards wasn't bilingual like previous years.
