These types of cards are what make lot purchases so interesting.
It's an interesting little card, but the subject material is what I find so cool and Legend of Zelda was one of THE games as a kid, even though I didn't own it. My best friend did, and I borrowed it a lot after he beat it. It took a while, but was a game I did beat back in the day, before the internet let you know exactly where to find everything and do it quickly.
Not everything has to be easy - trying to teach my kids that sometimes, it is the more difficult things that you work through and have success with that are your biggest accomplishments.
Too bad the card is scratched off, but it's fine - my son who is into The Legend of Zelda games now called dibs as soon as he saw it anyway.
Cool card. I was in high school during the NES Era... so we played a lot of Zelda, Super Mario Bros, and just about every popular game from that time period. I do remember that "cheat sheets" were even around back them. One of the Nintendo magazines would publish tips and cheats.
ReplyDeleteI was in grade school but much the same otherwise.
DeleteI scratched a lot of these off as a kid. I also found a couple of packs worth strewn across the ground one time way back when. Unfortunately, it had rained and they were all gross, but still, there they were.
ReplyDeleteI'm not very good with these types of games so back then I was the "map guy" while my brother took care of business and beat the games.
ReplyDeleteI hear you - I was more the map guy too and my best friend was taking care of the business.
